An allegory of fear, the story begins with a mother-daughter who have no love for each other until they are brought together by their fear of a man-eating wolf, which was invented by the mother. The irrational fear creates a bond that unites them in a way they failed to achieve before. It’s a philosophical exploration of parenthood, love and the purity of thought, as the mother and daughter regain together a childlike innocence which is an essential part of human survival. And it illustrated the proverb" The dream of the mind gives birth to monsters".
